INVL Bridge Fund successfully exits Finto Capital as German fund steps in
Latvian consumer car leasing company SIA Finto Capital has attracted an international investment fund from Germany and has fully redeemed nearly €5 million in bonds ahead of schedule. The bonds had been held by the INVL Bridge Finance Fund, which is managed by INVL Asset Management, a leading alternative asset manager in the Baltic States.
This transaction marks the conclusion of a successful partnership in which INVL Bridge Finance served as a bridge-financing provider. Over the past three years, the fund enabled Finto Capital to triple its loan portfolio and strengthen its market position, ultimately making the company an attractive target for large international investors. The fund achieved an annual return of more than 15% on this investment.
“This partnership is a clear illustration of our fund’s operating model. We became a financial springboard for a promising young company at a moment when flexible capital was essential for its growth. Starting with a small debt facility of less than €1 million, we expanded it in line with the company’s needs. Now that Finto Capital has established itself in the Latvian market and is ready for a new stage, we are passing the baton to a larger international player that will finance its further expansion. For our investors, this transaction has delivered an attractive return, and for Finto Capital, it has opened the door to greater opportunities,” said Viktorija Vaitkevičienė, Managing Partner at INVL Bridge Finance.
By securing new capital from the German fund – specializing in financing portfolios of alternative lenders – Finto Capital has not only met its obligations to INVL Bridge Finance ahead of schedule but also secured additional funding for expansion. The company plans to grow its current €7 million loan portfolio in Latvia and enter other European markets.
According to Rihards Behmanis, CEO of Finto Capital, the financing and strategic insights provided by INVL Bridge Finance were instrumental during the company’s rapid development phase.
“The flexible and timely financing provided by INVL Bridge Finance was critical during our growth phase. The trust from their team allowed us to focus on our core task – growing the business – and to achieve results that have now opened the door to a new tier of international investors. We are delighted to have successfully concluded this chapter. With our new partner, we are now positioned not only to strengthen our presence in our home market but also to implement our ambitious expansion plans across Europe. We greatly appreciate the INVL Bridge Finance Fund as a financing partner with both the expertise and resources needed to support fast-growing businesses,” stated R. Behmanis.
Finto Capital currently serves more than 1,200 active car leasing clients.
