INVL Asset Management showcases mutual funds at international congress for investment professionals

INVL Asset Management, a Lithuanian asset management company, is presenting investment opportunities in mutual funds operated in Lithuania at Fonds Professionell Kongress, one of the largest congresses for mutual funds in Europe which began today. The fifteenth regular event is attended by over 200 global investment management, insurance companies and banks, including such leading global investment management companies as BlackRock, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, etc.

The event, which has attracted 6,000 professional investors, is taking place this year on 27 and 28 January in Mannheim, Germany.

“As investments are becoming increasingly global, mutual funds managed by us are also able to attract interest internationally. Moreover, both German and Nordic investors appreciate our experience investing in stock and bond markets of Central and Eastern Europe,” says Tomas Krakauskas, Director of the Investment Management Department of INVL Asset Management, the company attending the event for the second time.

According to him, conservative investors are looking for alternative investment opportunities with higher prospective gains as yields on ten-year bonds have dropped to just 0.5% in Germany. “The Finasta Emerging Europe Bond Subfund with an average 5% yield with minor fluctuations in the last five years is an attractive investment opportunity for investors in that country,” Mr Krakauskas added.

Moreover, equity investors are also facing a dilemma. “Stock indexes in Western Europe and the USA have been rising sharply for a couple of years and have reached record-highs. Equity markets in Central and Eastern Europe were remembered once again in a search of neglected stocks of other regions whose value has not risen so steeply,” Mr Krakauskas said. According to him, the Finasta New Europe TOP 20 Subfund and the Finasta Baltic Fund offer investment opportunities in stock markets of these countries.

Mr Krakauskas believes that Fonds Professionell Kongress also provides excellent opportunities to take part in discussions with the most celebrated global investment managers and economists and to gain new experience. Around 200 lectures and discussion rounds are are to be held during the event.

INVL Asset Management operates five mutual funds. Four of them are currently distributed both in Lithuania and abroad: in Latvia, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. The mutual funds of the company have been recognised and continuously highly rated by such international agencies as Morningstar and Lipper Leaders.

According to the data of the Bank of Lithuania for the first half of 2015, INVL Asset Management was the leading company in Lithuania by the number of participants of mutual funds and held a market share of 48%, i.e. nearly one in two of the market participants had chosen the the mutual funds managed by the company.

INVL Asset Management is part of Invalda INVL, one of the leading asset management groups in the Baltic states. The group’s companies manage pension and mutual funds, alternative investments, individual portfolios, private equity and other financial instruments.
