INVL Asset Management fund manager named among the world’s best

Citywire, an international provider of asset management news and analysis, has given special recognition to INVL Asset Management’s Vaidotas Rūkas as manager of the INVL Emerging Europe ex Russia TOP20 Subfund. In a July report, it named Rūkas one of the three best-performing fund managers in the Global Emerging Markets asset class.

Rūkas, who is Head of Funds Management at INVL Asset Management, was given an AA-rating by Citywire’s research unit on the basis of the investment returns of the INVL Emerging Europe ex Russia TOP20 Subfund.

Citywire said on its website that Rūkas “consistently outperformed the average manager in the sector since July 2013, and returned 5.17% in euro terms over the three years, compared with a loss of 9.55% by the average manager over the same period“.

Having run the INVL Emerging Europe ex Russia TOP20 Subfund since its inception in October 2010, Rūkas first received a Citywire rating in February of this year.

The INVL Emerging Europe ex Russia TOP20 Subfund invests in the shares of 15-25 companies which operate in Emerging Europe (excluding Russia). The goal is to achieve the maximum return on investments. The fund is distributed not only in Lithuania, but also in Germany, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

INVL Asset Management runs five mutual funds and eight pension funds and provides portfolio management services. The company ranked first in Lithuania at the end of 2015 for number of mutual fund participants, with a market share of 47 per cent, according to Bank of Lithuania data. That means nearly one of every two market participants had chosen the mutual funds that it manages. The company also manages eight 2nd– and 3rd-pillar pension funds.
